At 380 Family Dentistry, we are committed to meeting our patients' needs and comfort. In order to meet this goal, we continue to invest in the newest technological advancements the dental profession has to offer.Digital X-rays Digital radiography uses significantly less radiation than conventional film to produce highly detailed images that are transferred instantly to our computer screens. From there we can magnify, rotate, and enhance each X-ray to best explain your needs and answer any questions you may have. The use of digital X-rays allows us to electronically transmit the images to a specialist's office for further diagnosis and treatment without additional cost to the patient. TV Monitors Each treatment room is equipped with a fully integrated television system. Patients are able to see digital images of their teeth in a magnified format as well as have a close-up view of their X-rays while doctor Campbell explains their treatment needs. Informative patient education videos can also be viewed on these over-chair screens. Another plus is patients are able to enjoy their favorite TV program while we examine your teeth. Intra-oral Pictures A picture is worth a thousand words, especially when it comes to your dental health! To aid in diagnosis and record keeping, we use handheld cameras to take magnified and detailed photos of your mouth, which can be displayed on our computer screens and TV monitors so you can see what our doctors are seeing. Many people appreciate us taking before and after pictures to show what we have done. For more detailed photos, the doctor or staff will use a small handheld camera wand to capture images with surprising clarity. All of these photos are taken at no additional cost and are great in helping us educate our patients about their oral health. For more comprehensive care that requires a specialist, these photos provide better communication between offices and labs to make sure you get the best treatment possible. Wii We have a Wii set up in the reception room for your or your child's entertainment. |
